OK! OK! OK!
Since Dan has been home the last two weeks, I feel like I have been on the computer more than usual. Hmmm. That doesn't make much sense to me but it is how it is, right? So, we've been sitting at the kitchen table, each with our own laptop and scouring all the websites we've intented to visit for a while. ummm...this being one of them. Ok, I have a gazillion pictures to post! I commit to posting! Dan is leaving tomorrow (Sunday) for work again. Prom is a week away and then all should be fairly normal (I think I still remember what normal is) again.

Elden is in action! It's hard for me to get good pictures of his games. I'm still learning how to work the camera. He has a female coach and normally I don't have a problem with that but for some reason, I'm just uneasy about it. Perhaps I have a fixed belief about girls coaching girls and guys coaching guys. Elden likes her though and that's what really matters! He and his team travel all over Utah for games. I'm glad he gets to see so much!Time
O.K. so I've been a little slow the last month and a half, putting stuff on here. My time was deffinately well spent! I shopped and wrapped presents and shopped for more presents! I decorated the house for Christmas and we had the best Christmas ever!!! I will be slowly posting everything about the holidays (I have so many projects - no rest for the weary, right?). But first and foremost..... Elden and basketball!

Dan, the most awesome man!

This is my chance to brag on my husband. He is amazing! Since April, he has met some intersting people from all over the country and some from other parts of the world. They all love him! I'm so happy that they see in him what I do, his spirit. They can see it as clearly as I can. He is so full of love and light for everyone he ever meets! There are some he struggles with just like the rest of us, but he would bend over backwards for them if they were in trouble. I've always told him that he is just like a duck. He just let's it roll right off him, like a duck lets the water roll off. The examples he sets are wonderful
and anyone around him deserves to follow in his footsteps. We are always told to be Christ-like, forgiveness and love, with everyone. Dan is truly that. He is in my life to be one of my greatest teachers and he is so patient with me and for that and his examples, I am deeply grateful.

I'm a little late getting this up but our halloween wasn't anything to brag about except, we probably have the scariest house! We had a total of five groups of kids come to our house.
I had the porch light on and I could see the kids everywhere trick or treating, but most of them wouldn't come close to our house. One group came and knocked on the door and when they
heard a dog's deep rumbling growl, they turned running and screaming! With our house being 112 years old, it already looks creepy, but then we added the cobwebs to it and it looked
abandoned! Plus the night before there was a bad wind storm that blew all the leaves in the yard all over the porch and into the cobwebs! Tori scattered the webs all over the porch and the yard, she wrapped it around the trees, over the fence, through the bushes and even on the mailbox! We went earlier in the month to get wood for the winter and
Dan picked a great stump to chop wood on. We used that stump, with the cuts from the ax in it,
to decorate the
front porch! It would have been even better if Dan had been here to scare all the kids! He would have done a great job and loved every minute of it!!

Hiking on Mt. Timpanogos!

Dan was able to come home this last Sunday and we (Tori, Elden, Tim and I) went hiking with him and some of his friends from work! Like I've said before, I LOVE THE MOUNTAINS! Once again I forgot my camara so these are from my phone. I took so many that I had to keep deleting the not so good ones so I could take more, then my battery died. humph. Dan's friends all had camaras though (what good examples they are!) and they took some of Dan climbing the gorgeous cliffs! I'm not the only one who finds serenity in the mountains, Dan said he had to keep reminding himself not to get too far ahead, that he was not alone and had a group of people with him. I can't wait til I'm in better shape (yes, I'm workin on it) so I can rock climb with him and be able to keep up at his pace! Other than the park fees, this is probably the cheepest, healthiest and some of our most favorite activies. Tim and Tori just recently went on a 12 mile hike and loved every minute of it! They were smart and grabbed the camara and took some beautiful pictures of Heber Valley! She has some of them posted on her site!

The Zoo

With Dan's busy work schedule, we worked hard to fit things in with Daniel and Shei during the summer. Daniel wanted to go to the zoo and we had so much fun. This was a bird show that we missed most of but we were able to watch the last of it from outside the gates. After the show we got to go down and visit with the birds and thier handlers. Havin my picture taken with that beautiful creature was so awesome!! Dan said he was actually a little scared an Eagle havin so close to him! You would never know it looking at that picture though! He looks as calm and cool as ever!
Dan, Daniel and Shei
I was really frustrated with myselffor not getting more pictures of
Shei and Daniel while they were
here for the summer, but I did
find more! I always found myself
unprepared but I always had my
phone (with a camara on it!).
These are pictures of Shei and
Daniel and Dan when we went
to Park City one afternoon. We
stopped to get ice cream at the
Java Moo coffee and ice cream
shop! We walked up and down
the main street and Dan thought

it was cool to put Shei on a bronze
statue of an elk!
